What makes the Katie Puff® Ortho Rectangle orthopedic?

It is constructed from 100 percent CertiPUR-US® certified Companion-Pedic® memory foam, 2.5 inches deep in every size. The foam distributes weight and helps relieve pressure points, which is especially beneficial for aging or aching joints.

How is the Ortho Rectangle different from the Katie Puff® Ortho Lounger?

The Ortho Rectangle is a flat, bolster-free mattress for companions who stretch out across the full surface. The Ortho Lounger® adds overstuffed bolsters and a low cutout front for companions who like to lean or rest their heads, with the same Companion-Pedic® foam support underneath.

What size Ortho Rectangle should I choose?

Match the surface to your companion stretched out at full length: Small is 24" x 18", Medium 34" x 26", Large 40" x 32", and X-Large 48" x 36", each 2.5 inches high. Because there are no bolsters, the entire footprint is usable resting space; size up when in doubt.

Is the cover washable?

Yes. The cover unzips for a cold-water machine wash and line drying, with no heat, bleach, or bleach alternatives. The foam is not washable; spray a half white vinegar, half water solution on soiled areas and air dry.

What is the waterproof liner option?

Choosing "With Waterproof Liner" adds a Luxura-Protect™ barrier beneath the cover that helps shield the memory foam from occasional spills or accidents. It is not designed for ongoing moisture or moderate to severe incontinence, since stitched seams may allow seepage over time.

What colors and fabrics are available?

The Original double-weave chenille comes in Camel, Charcoal, Chocolate, and Pink, and the Encore fabric comes in Pearl Gray and Charcoal. Every option covers the same CertiPUR-US® certified Companion-Pedic® memory foam core.

Is the Ortho Rectangle good for senior dogs?

Yes. Its flat 2.5-inch profile means there are no sides to climb over, and the Companion-Pedic® memory foam is especially beneficial for seniors and companions with mobility issues or aging joints.
