Review Integrity
You research a bed for your dog the way you research anything you intend to keep, and that research deserves honest numbers.
This page explains how reviews work at Animals Matter: where they come from, what we publish, and what we did when we found our own data out of date.
What we publish
The star ratings and review counts on our product pages come from customer reviews, collected and displayed through Stamped, an independent review platform. The rating summary that search engines and AI assistants read from each page is generated from those same customer reviews, not maintained by hand.
A product with no reviews shows no rating at all, on the page and in the data behind it. We would rather show nothing than show something inflated. And if the summary and the visible reviews are ever out of step, we correct toward the reviews you can actually read.
How reviews are collected
Reviews are submitted by customers through Stamped and appear on the product page they describe. You can read reviews across the store on our reviews page.
Reviews are invited only from customers who have purchased the product: every review is a verified review.
Reviews are never compensated. We do not exchange anything of value for a review, and we do not ask anyone to change one.
We publish reviews as customers wrote them. Our platform gives us no way to edit review text, and that is how we prefer it.
A review is never removed for being critical.
What we fixed, and why it matters
In July 2026 we audited the review data behind every product page, comparing the summary that search engines read against the reviews customers can actually see. On five products, the behind-the-scenes summary was outdated: it reported review counts that the visible reviews did not support.
We deleted that outdated data the same week and kept only the ratings customers actually gave. Some of those products now show fewer reviews than before, or none at all. That is the correct outcome. The number you see is the number that exists.
We publish this not because the audit was comfortable, but because a rating you can trust is worth more than a rating that flatters us.
Questions about a review
If a rating or review on our site does not look right to you, or you have a question about one of your own, write to us through our contact page with the product name and what you noticed. We will check the data and reply.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the star ratings on Animals Matter product pages real?
Yes. Every rating comes from customer reviews collected through Stamped, our review platform. The summary data behind each page is generated from the same reviews you can read on the page.
Why do some products show no reviews?
Newer or lower-volume products may simply not have received reviews yet. A product with no reviews shows no rating anywhere, on the page or in the data search engines read. We leave the space empty until customers fill it.
Has Animals Matter ever corrected its own review data?
Yes. In a July 2026 audit we found five product pages whose behind-the-scenes rating summaries were outdated and overstated what the visible reviews supported. We deleted the outdated data that same week and kept only genuine customer ratings, even where that meant showing fewer stars.
Do you reward customers for leaving reviews?
No. Reviews are never compensated, and nothing of value is exchanged for one.
Are Animals Matter reviews from verified purchases?
Yes. Reviews are invited only from customers who have purchased the product, so every review reflects a real purchase.
Do you edit or remove critical reviews?
No. Reviews are published as customers wrote them, our platform gives us no way to edit review text, and a review is never removed for being critical.
What should I do if a review looks wrong?
Write to us through our contact page with the product name and what you noticed. We will check the underlying data and correct it if it is wrong.
Your dog will never read a review. You will, and what you read here should be as honest as what we build.
